Trina Dingle – Founder/Executive Director: Trina Dingle founded Urban Musical Theatre with a clear mission: to increase the visibility of Black talent in live theatre, especially within Broadway and off-Broadway productions, where opportunities for Black artists have historically been limited. With 29 years of experience in theatre and development, she has been at the forefront of the organization’s growth, managing areas such as budget forecasting, arts programming, and securing funding. Trina is also dedicated to empowering women in the arts, particularly in leadership roles, by opening doors for female entrepreneurs as CEOs, executive directors, artistic directors, and playwrights. Her ongoing mission is to address the lack of arts programs for Black artists, ensuring that their voices are celebrated and their stories are shared on stage.

Dee “Dutchez” DuVall – Artistic Director: Dee "Dutchez" DuVall brings 27 years of experience in theater and cinema, beginning her artistic journey at the age of nine. With studies in theater, music, and classical voice under the guidance of Indiana's finest, she earned a degree in Performing Arts. Dee's diverse career has taken her through Broadway, Gospel Theater, madrigal performances, and film and commercial projects. She has toured and performed in over 300 productions worldwide alongside renowned industry headliners. In 2010, Dee began expanding her craft to include directing and teaching, merging her acting experience with her creative vision. As “Dutchez DuVall,” she excels in leading, organizing, and developing ideas that elevate scripts to new heights. Her ability to mold characters with grace, elegance, sophistication, and style defines her as a director with an undeniable attitude, making her a standout in every production she touches.

Kila Adams – Talent Development Director: With over 27 years in theater, Kila Adams has honed her craft and earned a degree in Theater. As a talented playwright, Kila has written and acted in her own productions before touring with national artists across the U.S., contributing to over 200 performances. Kila is deeply committed to arts training and talent development, focusing on honing the creative abilities of artists and guiding them to realize their full potential. In addition to her work as a performer and playwright, Kila is highly skilled in media and technical design. Her extensive experience in classical theater, Broadway musicals, period pieces, and gospel productions allows her to visualize and shape productions, creating space for artists to flourish.
